Prerequisites
Before you connect, make sure you have the following.
- A Thumbtack Pro account with an active business profile
- Approved partner API access from Thumbtack (contact their partner team)
- Your API key from Thumbtack's partner portal
- A ClawTrust agent on any plan (Starter, Pro, or Enterprise)
Step-by-step setup
Get API access from Thumbtack and add your key to your agent.
Verify your Thumbtack Pro account
Log in to your Thumbtack Pro account. API access is limited to Thumbtack partners. If you do not have API access, contact Thumbtack support or your partner manager to request it.
Request API access from Thumbtack
Contact Thumbtack's partner team to apply for API access. Provide your business details and describe your integration use case. Approval may take a few business days.
Retrieve your API key
Once approved, Thumbtack will provide your API credentials. Copy the API key and store it securely. This is a Bearer token for authenticating API requests.
Add to ClawTrust
In your agent's dashboard, go to Credentials > Add Credential. Select "API Key (Bearer)", paste your key, and set the allowed domain to *.thumbtack.com.

Credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored on your agent's dedicated server. They never leave your infrastructure. The allowed domains restriction ensures your agent can only use these credentials with Thumbtack endpoints.
