API Key (Bearer Token)*.facebook.com, graph.facebook.com

What your agent can do

Full Page management through the Facebook Graph API.

Page posting

Create and publish posts to your Facebook Page. Add images, links, and schedule posts for optimal engagement times.

Comment management

Monitor and reply to comments on your Page posts. Filter by sentiment, auto-respond to FAQs, and hide spam.

Message replies

Respond to Messenger conversations from your Page. Handle customer inquiries, provide support, and route complex issues to your team.

Insights and analytics

Pull Page insights including reach, engagement, and follower demographics. Generate weekly reports automatically.

Ad management

Create and manage Facebook ad campaigns. Adjust budgets, pause underperforming ads, and generate performance summaries.

Secure token storage

Your Page Access Token is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. ClawTrust automatically handles token refresh so your agent stays connected.

Prerequisites

  • A Facebook Business account with admin access
  • A Facebook Page you want your agent to manage
  • An app created in the Meta Developer Portal
  • A long-lived Page Access Token with pages_manage_posts permission

Standard Page Access Tokens expire after 60 days. For a never-expiring token, create a System User in your Business Manager and generate a token from there.

Step-by-step setup

Connect your Facebook Page to ClawTrust in about 10 minutes.

1

Create a Facebook Business account

If you do not have one, go to business.facebook.com and create a Business account. You will need admin access to the Page you want to connect.

2

Create an app in the Meta Developer Portal

Go to developers.facebook.com, create a new app, and select "Business" as the app type. Add the Facebook Login and Pages API products.

3

Generate a Page Access Token

In the Graph API Explorer, select your app and request the pages_manage_posts, pages_read_engagement, and pages_messaging permissions. Generate a long-lived Page Access Token.

4

Add credentials in ClawTrust

Open your agent's dashboard, go to Credentials, and click Add Credential. Select "Facebook" and paste your Page Access Token. ClawTrust encrypts it before storage.

5

Your agent is live on Facebook

Your agent can now post to your Page, reply to comments, and respond to Messenger conversations. Test it by asking your agent to create a post.

Credential details

Facebook uses Bearer token authentication through the Graph API.

Page Access Token

A long-lived token that grants your agent permission to manage your Facebook Page. Expires every 60 days unless you use a system user token (never expires).

Page ID

The numeric ID of the Facebook Page your agent will manage. Found in your Page's About section or via the Graph API.

All credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored in ClawTrust's secrets vault. They never touch the tenant VPS directly.

Example actions

Once connected, try asking your agent any of these:

"Post an update about our weekend sale to our Facebook Page"

"Reply to all unanswered comments on our latest post"

"Check Messenger for any unread customer messages"

"Pull our Page insights for the past 30 days"

"Create a boosted post targeting our local area"
